Morrison Hershfield, now Stantec, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Buildings Mechanical Engineer to join our Integrated Engineering Design (IED) group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems for various building types, including institutional, industrial, and commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and drainage systems designs, specifications, and drawings.
- Collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors to gather project information and discuss design-related issues.
- Prepare and present technical reports on design or study assignments.
- Ensure coordination with other disciplines and conduct construction review activities.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 6+ years of experience in designing mechanical systems within the consulting engineering industry.
- Current P.Eng. license holder.
- Ability to work independently and lead projects.
- Strong computer skills, including AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- LEED Accreditation is an asset.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
