About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Architect to join our High-Rise Residential Studio as a Technical Director. This is a key leadership role that requires a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead and mentor a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the quality assurance process on projects to ensure technical quality standards, accuracy, and completeness.
  • Perform thorough reviews to identify and address any issues or discrepancies.
  • Lead document review meetings with project teams to ensure understanding of corrections needed.
  • Serve as a technical resource to staff in all phases of a project.
  • Mentor and develop the skills of project architects and project leaders.
  • Maintain proficiency in building materials, construction methods, costs, codes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and maintain all original documents and revisions, both electronically and in hard copy.
  • Distribute technical documents to project teams for review and comment.
  • Control the issuance of documents and seek proper approval from responsible managers.
Requirements
  • 25 years of experience in construction detailing and building science.
  • Considerable experience working on mid to large-scale mixed-use residential high-rise projects.
  • Strong attention to detail, process flow understanding, and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Excellent project coordination skills with the ability to quickly resolve problems in real-time.
  • Familiarity with document management procedures, including distribution matrices, supplier data management, document numbering, filing, and archiving procedures.
  • Experience with EDMS packages (SharePoint, Aconex, ProCore, Unifier), Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam, and software such as BIM360, Revit, and AutoCad.
  • Proficiency with FTP, ProjectWise, SharePoint, ISO, and MS Office.
