Job Title: Underwriter, Junior

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Underwriter to join our Individual Underwriting team. As a Junior Underwriter, you will play a critical role in evaluating and managing risk for our clients, ensuring that they receive the best possible coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and assess risk factors for clients, including medical, financial, and non-medical factors
• Develop and implement underwriting strategies to minimize risk and maximize client satisfaction
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and efficient processing of client applications
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and best practices
• Contribute to the development and implementation of underwriting policies and procedures

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in a health or medical field, or equivalent experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, with ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies
