About the Role

The Millwright Foreperson will be responsible for providing full-cycle support for the profession of Millwright, ensuring Aecon Construction Solutions Inc. achieves its general and specific project objectives. Key responsibilities include:

  • Reading diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
  • Operating rig equipment and dollies to move heavy machinery and parts
  • Fitting bearings, aligning gears and shafts, attaching motors, and connecting couplings and belts
  • Aligning and testing equipment and adjusting
  • Performing preventive and operational maintenance using procedures such as vibration analysis, and repairing or replacing defective parts
  • Troubleshooting hydraulic, pneumatic, and programmable logic controls
  • Tack welding and fabrication, as well as maintaining an inventory of replacement parts

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Millwright Foreperson
  • The ability to stand, crouch, and kneel for long periods of time
  • Manual dexterity
  • Good sense of balance when working on scaffolds
  • The ability to solve math problems quickly and accurately
  • The ability to get along well with others on a work team
  • Must be willing to work in remote job locations
  • Must have a strong understanding of safety procedures and policies on an industrial job site

Work Location
