We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to lead our Cleaning Division at ServiceMaster of the Valley. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of our cleaning operations, including janitorial contracts, residential and commercial carpet cleaning, and special projects.
Key Responsibilities- Sell ServiceMaster's cleaning services to new clients in the Annapolis Valley.
- Train cleaning technicians on ServiceMaster's standards, products, processes, and procedures.
- Oversee staff performance and ensure all work is completed in accordance with set task schedules.
- Perform inspections and provide constructive performance feedback to staff members to promote a system of continuous improvement.
- Make necessary scheduling adjustments in case of illness or emergencies.
- Respond to customer concerns and requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Contribute to a positive and respectful work climate.
- A valid driver's license.
- Demonstrated sales experience.
- Ability to initiate and maintain relationships with new clients.
- Strong attention to detail.
- 2 years of management/leadership experience is preferred.
- Experience in the cleaning and/or restoration industry is an asset, but we are willing to train.
- Strong computer skills and comfortable with software such as MS Office.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills and a dedication to continued learning.
- Ability to prioritize tasks to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Great interpersonal and communication skills, with an emphasis on providing top-notch customer service.
- Ability to hold others accountable in a supportive and challenging way.
