About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Machining Tool Operator to join our team at Alliance Fabricating Ltd. as a CNC Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and setting up machines to perform repetitive machining operations, verifying dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments, and preparing etching solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and set up machines to perform repetitive machining operations, ensuring high precision and quality.
  • Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments, such as micrometers and calipers.
  • Prepare etching solutions and immerse metal parts or workpieces into the etching solution to remove unwanted portions.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Enter codes specifying speed, feed, and cut of the toolpath for computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools.
  • Clean and maintain the work space, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Program CNC machine tools, utilizing advanced software and techniques.
Requirements
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
  • Overhead Crane Certification.
  • Experience with boring machines, drilling machines, engine lathes, milling machines, sawing machines, tool grinders, and computer numerical control (CNC) machines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Excellent oral communication skills and ability to multitask.
  • Valid driver's license and own transportation.
Working Conditions
  • Work in a custom machine shop environment, with exposure to noise and dust.
  • Occasional overtime required, with a focus on meeting production deadlines.
  • Ability to lift and handle heavy equipment and materials, up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
