About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Powerline Construction Specialist to join our team at Amps Powerline. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining electrical distribution and transmission systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install electrical distribution and transmission systems to ensure safe and efficient power delivery to our customers.
  • Overhaul electrical distribution and transmission systems to maintain optimal performance and prevent power outages.
  • Erect and maintain steel, wood or concrete poles, towers and guy wires to support our power infrastructure.
  • Splice, solder and insulate conductors and related wiring to connect power distribution and transmission networks.
  • Inspect overhead and underground power lines and cables to identify potential issues and ensure safe operation.
  • Instruct apprentices in the safe and efficient installation and maintenance of electrical distribution and transmission systems.
  • Install and maintain street lighting systems to enhance public safety and visibility.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed at all times to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Climb ladders or operate hydraulic buckets to access and maintain power infrastructure in confined spaces.
  • Communicate with other workers to coordinate the preparation and completion of work assignments.
Requirements
  • Powerline Technician Trade Certification and/or Red Seal Certificate.
  • Valid driver's licence to operate company vehicles.
  • Dental, health care, and vision care benefits to support your overall well-being.
  • Permanent work term with a minimum of 35 hours per week.
  • Work language: English to ensure effective communication with colleagues and customers.
