About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Finance and Operations Specialist to join our team at the Lung Health Foundation. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional with a passion for finance and operations management.

In this role, you will assist the Chief Financial Officer in ensuring that financial reporting processes are followed accurately and efficiently, and all accounting functions and financial records are completed on time. You will also oversee the management of core operational requirements, including operational reporting, policy development, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, receivables, payables, account analysis, and cash management.
  • E nsure accurate preparation and submission of government remittances, reports, and T3010 filings.
  • Administer provincial banking program, analyzing cash flow, preparing cash flow statements, and notifying the President & CEO of cash needs.
  • Support CFO in monitoring investment program.
  • Produce and distribute annual budget working papers, verifying draft budgets balance and entering budget data from departments.
  • Design and produce financial reports for Finance Committee and Board, reviewing reports for accuracy prior to distribution.
  • Analyze actual-to-budget, develop year-end projections, and design recommendations for financial administration plans, policies, and objectives.
  • Ensure statutory and regulatory compliance, protect assets, and secure financial records, including income tax receipts.
  • Coordinate annual audit, liaising with audit firm partners.
  • Install upgrades, resolve hardware and software problems related to accounting and enterprise-wide systems.
Operations Responsibilities
  • Streamline and optimize operational processes, enhancing efficiency and reducing costs.
  • Collaborate with department heads to establish best practices and standard operating procedures.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Serve as central point of contact for operations, coordinating financial and operational activities.
  • Update and monitor Risk Management Plan.
  • Assist in Quarterly Report preparation associated with Transfer Payment Agreement with Ontario Ministry of Health.

This role offers a competitive salary of $95,000 - $100,000 per annum, depending on experience.
