We are seeking a skilled Painter and Decorator to join our team at Shield Masonry Ltd.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, cleaning, and painting surfaces, as well as repairing cracks and holes. They will also be required to mix paint to the desired colour and texture, measure, cut, and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls, and advise consumers on colours and choice of wall coverings.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare, clean, and paint surfaces to a high standard
- Repair cracks and holes in walls and ceilings
- Mix paint to the desired colour and texture
- Measure, cut, and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls
- Advise consumers on colours and choice of wall coverings
- Erect scaffolding and swing stages and attach rigging
- Apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces
- Estimate costs and materials
- Clean and prepare surfaces
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
- Ability to work at heights and in outdoors environments
- Ability to distinguish between colours
- Hand-eye co-ordination
- Attention to detail
- Flexibility and reliability
- Team player
The successful candidate will be required to work in a variety of locations, including outdoors and at heights. They will also be required to work with a range of equipment and machinery, including brush painting, conventional spray painting, roller painting, and pressure washers.
Language:The language of work is English.
Work Schedule:The successful candidate will be required to work 40 hours per week.
