HVAC Service Technician

Job Summary:

Johnson Controls is seeking a skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our team. As a member of our service team, you will be responsible for maintaining customer relationships through service excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to Johnson Controls' industry-leading safety program.
  • Maintain customer systems through preventative maintenance contracts.
  • Work with customers on service repairs and solutions.
  • Perform tasks such as changing and servicing filters, oiling and greasing bearings, and performing belt adjustments and replacements.
  • Perform cooling tower and condenser maintenance, including coil, evaporator, and tube maintenance.
  • Perform general housekeeping tasks as required by customer contract.
  • Operate mechanical equipment as needed.
  • Transport rigging equipment to and from sites as needed.

Requirements:

  • 5 years' experience in the HVAC service industry.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • Clean driver's abstract.
  • Ability to join UA-516 or be a member in good standing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Commercial and industrial experience.
  • Knowledge of BACnet and Modbus communication protocols.
  • Previous technical/installation experience.
  • Chiller experience.

Compensation and Benefits:

Hourly rate of $51.81 determined by UA Local 516 CBA/rate sheet. Benefits are provided through the union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement.
