The Enterprise Data Office at CMHC is seeking a highly skilled Bilingual Senior Manager, Data Management to lead our data transformation efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing a Data Quality Management solution that enables CMHC to manage data as an asset and achieve its mission.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement standardized frameworks, processes, and controls to measure and improve data governance performance.
- Participate in corporate information and data governance committees to drive strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with CMHC leaders to identify opportunities to leverage data for business advantage and document data-driven business initiatives.
- Lead the management of data-driven initiatives and ensure they support business objectives aligned with CMHC's strategic goals.
- Provide expertise and leadership in the design, development, and operationalization of comprehensive corporate information governance policies.
- Promote a data-driven culture and work with change management staff to communicate the data governance strategy to stakeholders.
- An undergraduate degree in a relevant field such as computer systems, information management, or business administration.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in data governance and management, including 5 years in a leadership role.
- Extensive experience with data management practices, processes, and technologies.
- Strong knowledge of governance frameworks and performance measures.
- Extensive knowledge of data management and data quality standards, implementation approaches, and compliance requirements.
- Strong leadership skills to influence behaviors and provide strategic advice to Senior Management.
- Advanced communication skills with experience in developing and operationalizing policies, directives, and standards.
- Bilingualism (English and French).
- Broad understanding of mortgage loan insurance, affordable/social programs, real estate, and/or finance.
- Certified Information and Privacy Professional/Canada (CIPP/C) certification or equivalent industry-recognized certifications.
- Certified Data Management Professional (DAMA) and/or Certified Data Management Capability Assessment Model (DCAM) certification.
- Awareness of data privacy regulations and Data Quality industry standards.
