About the Job

Mittson Carrier is seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across various locations, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a high level of professionalism in customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Route Planning and Execution: Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, GPS, or other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that all interactions are professional and courteous.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure it is in good working order.
  • Load and Unload Goods: Load and unload goods safely and efficiently, taking care to ensure that all cargo is secure and properly handled.
  • Transportation of Hazardous Goods: Transport and handle dangerous goods, adhering to all relevant regulations and safety protocols.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: AZ class license, Air Brakes Endorsement, and a valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role.
  • Personal Qualities: Flexibility, organized, team player, hardworking, and patient.
Work Environment

This is an on-the-road job, requiring the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The work schedule will be 40 to 60 hours per week, with opportunities for overtime.
