Job Summary

Prairie Mountain Health is seeking a skilled Nurse II to provide comprehensive nursing care to patients/residents/clients in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Practice in accordance with the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA) or the Registered Psychiatric Nurse Act of Manitoba, as well as the Standards of Practice (CRNM or CRPNM) and Entry level competencies for RNs or RPNs.
  • Obtain and maintain relevant competencies for the position offered by PMH.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess active practicing licensure with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba or be eligible for active practicing licensure with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM). Additionally, they will have current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Training and successful completion of a recognized OR Nursing and Techniques Program.

The successful candidate will demonstrate clinical nursing skills and concepts in accordance with approved nursing standards, as well as effective decision-making regarding nursing care. They will also possess basic knowledge and skills to work with computers and electronic software programs, and demonstrate effective problem-solving, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.

A satisfactory employment record is required, and the successful applicant may be eligible for an annual Full-Time incentive of up to $2000 each year until 2024 as per MOU#31 of the current MNU collective Agreement.
