At Universal Driving School, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Driving Instructor to join our team. As a Driving Instructor, you will be responsible for conducting road test examinations and evaluating the driving ability of applicants for driver's licences. You will also provide instruction on comportment, personal development, make-up application, and modelling techniques for fashion shows and magazine advertising. Additionally, you will demonstrate and explain the handling and mechanical operation of motor vehicles, instruct individuals on proper motor vehicle driving skills and traffic regulations, supervise individuals during practice driving, and maintain accurate records.

This is a permanent position, requiring 35 to 40 hours of work per week. You must have a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and a Provincial Driving Instructor Licence. You will work in a sitting environment, requiring attention to detail, hand-eye co-ordination, and manual dexterity. You will also need to possess accurate, client-focused, dependable, efficient interpersonal skills, interpersonal awareness, and judgement.

As a Driving Instructor, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of individuals, including those with disabilities, newcomers and refugees, youth, veterans, and Indigenous people. You will participate in government or community programs that support these groups, offering mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities. You will also provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment.
