The Role: Team Lead

As a Senior Operations Manager, you will be an expert in Vallea Lumina's offerings and understand the intricacies of all TAG activities and how they fit together. Your role involves taking ownership and ensuring seamless daily operations at our Cougar Mountain site.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead nightly Lumina operations, coordinating with the Lumina Tech Team for optimal guest experiences.
  2. Manage a team of 10+ employees nightly, providing new hire and safety training, and assisting the manager in performance management.
  3. Ensure operational effectiveness, safety standards, and exceptional guest experiences.
  4. Contribute to policy development and implementation.
  5. Assist with scheduling, payroll, communication, and monitoring course maintenance needs.
  6. Engage with guests, gather feedback, handle bookings, and enhance guest experience.
  7. Act as the main point of contact for incidents/emergencies, ensuring team readiness and accurate reporting.
  8. Support management in hiring, training, and performance management processes.
  9. Other duties as reasonably directed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in tourism, adventure tourism, and/or activity operational delivery is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Reliable and responsible.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments.
  • Standard First Aid required; 80-hour Outdoor First Aid preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Physically fit, able to lift up to 30lbs, mobile, and adaptable.
  • Positive, respectful attitude.
  • Flexible with working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
