Amazon is seeking a skilled Software Development Engineer to join our team in Seattle and Vancouver, Canada. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building software that runs with high quality on millions of Echo family devices and Alexa-enabled devices.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop software that meets the high standards of Amazon's Alexa devices.
- Own the definition of the Alexa Presentation Language, ensuring it meets the needs of our customers and devices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive engineering best practices and set standards for our software development process.
- Contribute to the professional development of colleagues, improving their technical knowledge and engineering practices.
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems experience.
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.

The base salary for this position ranges from $150,700/year up to $251,700/year. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
