Job Description

This permanent full-time position reports to the Senior Staff Lawyer and works alongside two staff lawyers and another paralegal. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and processing various legal documents required for land acquisition and development;
  • Conducting land title searches and due diligence;
  • Liaising with internal and external contacts related to your work;
  • Undertaking special projects and assignments as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 3 years of experience as a real estate paralegal working on commercial land acquisitions and complex land development projects;
  • Familiarity with municipal development application processes;
  • An in-depth knowledge of the Land Title Act and Land Title Survey Authority practices;
  • A diploma or certificate in an accredited paralegal program;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • The ability to multi-task and work collaboratively in a team setting.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $68,776 - $83,510 per year, along with a comprehensive benefits package and an earned day off program. This represents an estimated hourly rate of $34.23 - $40.29.
