Key Responsibilities:
  • Author and edit feature and news articles about Perimeter science and scientists
  • Develop and implement a content strategy that aligns with our organizational goals
  • Collaborate with our research teams to identify and develop compelling stories about our work
  • Write, edit, and manage copy on our website and social media channels
  • Produce high-quality content for our print and digital publications
  • Assist with other communications activities, as assigned
Requirements:
  • Minimum of three years of professional experience as a writer/editor
  • University degree in a relevant field (e.g., journalism, physics, English) or equivalent experience
  • A passion for science and a track record of excellence in authoring and creating articles, interviews, and/or videos and multimedia presentations on science
  • Excellent research, reporting, and editorial skills
  • Ability to grasp new scientific concepts and convey them effectively to non-scientists in various media
