Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Marketing & Communications Director to join our team. As a key member of our leadership group, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive marketing and communications strategies to promote our brand, engage our membership, and support our fundraising efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute marketing plans that align with our strategic goals and objectives;
  • Create engaging content for various channels, including social media, email, and print materials;
  • Built strong relationships with stakeholders, including members, sponsors, and partners;
  • Manage and maintain our website, ensuring it is up-to-date and reflects our brand;
  • Analyze metrics and adjust marketing strategies accordingly;
  • Collaborate with our events team to promote conferences, workshops, and other events;
  • Develop and implement crisis communications plans to ensure timely and effective response to issues;
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on marketing activities and their impact;
  • Provide input on budget planning and management for marketing initiatives;
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in marketing and communications.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in marketing and communications, preferably in a not-for-profit or educational setting;
  • Proven track record of success in developing and executing marketing campaigns that meet or exceed goals;
  • Degree in marketing, communications, or a related field;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to adapt tone and style to suit audience;
  • Strong project management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and social media tools;
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
