We are seeking a skilled Construction Laborer to join our team at Carpet Plus Flooring. As a Construction Laborer, you will be responsible for assisting in the construction process, including loading and unloading materials, performing pre-operational inspections, and reading blueprints to determine work requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials
  • Perform pre-operational inspections
  • Read blueprints to determine work requirements
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades
  • Instruct apprentices
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials
  • Perform routine maintenance work
  • Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants
Work Environment:

As a Construction Laborer, you will work in a fast-paced environment with physically demanding tasks. You will be required to work outdoors and in confined spaces, and will be exposed to noisy and dusty conditions.

Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience an asset
Work Setting:

Our Construction Laborer will work on a construction site, assisting in the construction of residential buildings.

Physical Capabilities:

As a Construction Laborer, you will be required to have manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
