Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Distribution Project Coordinator to join our team at FortisBC. As a key member of our distribution team, you will be responsible for planning, estimating, and coordinating complex distribution projects.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Coordination: Coordinate projects from premium key accounts, external agencies, and FortisBC departments, ensuring all service product requirements are collected and met.
  2. Design and Estimation: Develop designs for distribution projects of the greatest complexity, prepare pricing and cost estimates, and conduct field reconnaissance.
  3. Customer Liaison: Act as the primary contact for premium rated builder/developers and internal/external customers, responding to customer inquiries and providing estimates on a diverse range of distribution projects.
  4. Operational and Maintenance Issues: Respond to a variety of operational and maintenance issues, including overbuilds of plant related to all customer classes.
Requirements
  1. Completion of a post-secondary Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering Technologist Diploma.
  2. Certified or deemed eligible for certification at the technologist level by the Applied Science Technologists and Technicians of British Columbia (ASTTBC).
  3. Four (4) years directly related relevant work experience and a minimum of 2 years of experience working directly on electrical design.
  4. Knowledge of electrical theory related to electrical distribution.
  5. Strong organizational skills, including the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work under pressure during peak workload periods.
