Marketing Director for Video Games

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Marketing Director to lead our video game marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in overseeing and executing successful marketing campaigns for video games.

The successful candidate will be responsible for defining strategy, planning, and implementing the company's overall marketing initiatives. This includes assisting in the intake, planning, and execution of digital marketing initiatives with internal teams and agency partners, as well as analyzing and reporting on market trends and campaign performance.

The ideal candidate will have a deep passion and understanding of video games, virtual reality gaming, and general gaming culture. They will also have solid knowledge of the gaming community in various channels such as Steam, Discord, Reddit, TikTok, etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the intake, planning, and execution of digital marketing initiatives with internal teams and agency partners.
  • Analyze and report on market trends and campaign performance.
  • Manage project schedules for digital paid media and content programs.
  • Develop engaging text, image, and video content for our communities.
  • Collaborate with graphic designers in the creation of visual content.
  • Develop and maintain a social content calendar.
  • Coordinate submissions and logistics to attend festivals and conferences.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years experience in video game marketing with a marketing, communications, or business degree (or equivalent work experience).
  • Exemplary leadership skills, fostering teamwork, employee morale, motivation, and open communication.
  • A proven track record in overseeing and executing successful marketing campaigns for video games.
  • Ability to be highly organized, flexible, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • A deep passion and understanding of video games, virtual reality gaming, and general gaming culture.
  • Solid knowledge of the gaming community in various channels.
