Key Responsibilities
  • Document Preparation: Prepare, draft, and file legal documents, including pleadings, questioning requests, responses, and applications.
  • Case Management: Manage case files, organize documents, and track deadlines to ensure timely filings.
  • Clients and Stakeholders: Coordinate and communicate with clients, witnesses, experts, and court personnel.
  • Litigation Knowledge: Maintain an up-to-date understanding of litigation procedures and applicable laws.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Post-secondary or a combination of work experience (minimum 8 years) in litigation.
  • Practice Management: Solid practice management experience working for multiple lawyers.
  • Commercial Litigation: Commercial litigation experience is an asset.
  • Technology Skills: Experience with PC Law and NetDocuments is an asset.
  • Personal Qualities: Attention to detail, team oriented, highly organized, dependable, and flexible.
