Langes Country Meats Ltd. is seeking a skilled Butcher Assistant to join our team in preparing and presenting high-quality meat products to our customers. Key responsibilities include:

Key Tasks:

  • Preparing special cuts of meat ordered by customers
  • Cutting, trimming, and preparing standard cuts of meat
  • Wrapping and packaging prepared meats
  • Removing bones from meat
  • Weighing meats for sale
  • Pricing meat products
  • Grinding meats
  • Preparing special displays of meats, poultry, and fish products
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • Organizing and maintaining inventory

Equipment and Machinery Experience:

  • Band saw
  • Manual cutting utensil
  • Power grinder
  • Sausage machine
  • Slicing machine

Support for Newcomers and Refugees:

  • Recruiting and supporting newcomers and refugees who were displaced by a conflict or natural disaster
  • Permanent work term
  • English language support
  • 30-40 hours per week
