At CANWEST PACIFIC TRADING INC., we are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Technician to join our team. As an Accounting Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing cheques for payroll, and calculating fixed assets and depreciation. You will also be responsible for keeping financial records, establishing and maintaining various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems, and preparing other statistical, financial, and accounting reports. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing tax returns, preparing trial balance of books, reconciling accounts, and delegating work to office support staff. You will also oversee and co-ordinate office administrative procedures, review and evaluate new administrative procedures, and establish work priorities and ensure procedures are followed and deadlines are met. You will also co-ordinate and plan for office services such as accommodation, relocation, equipment, supplies, forms, disposal of assets, parking, maintenance and security services. You will also assemble data and prepare periodic and special reports, manuals and correspondence. The ideal candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills, be organized, reliable, and have the ability to work accurately and efficiently.
