Job Description

Telecon Enterprise is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Engineering to lead our regional business unit. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for growing, leading, and managing all aspects of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement business development and growth strategies for the business unit
  • Lead and manage a team of engineers and supervisors to achieve financial and operational targets
  • Identify, develop, and execute key performance indicators (KPIs) for the business
  • Act as a change agent to inspire and drive core company values such as health and safety, mastery in our line of business, and promoting teamwork
  • Work closely with other divisions and corporate groups to optimize resources and opportunities for growth
  • Maintain effective communication with partners, including customers, suppliers, and subcontractors
  • Build and maintain client relationships while developing new business opportunities through strong telecommunications networks
  • Ensure projects are planned and executed on time and in budget

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of relevant industry experience with a minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience in leading business operations at a regional level with direct P&L responsibility
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the Cableco and Telecom sectors, with a strong understanding of market requirements and experience in market penetration
  • Exceptional experience in executing and driving growth by using a sustained strategic focus, discipline, and process orientation
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Professional designation in Engineering (P.Eng) considered an asset
  • Highly effective communicator and proven manager of change
  • Demonstrated ability to manage sub-contractors and other relevant partnerships
