About the JobThis role involves operating company vehicles to pick up and deliver various items and products. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining a high level of professionalism in customer service, receiving and relaying information to central dispatch, and ensuring the safe transportation of goods.
To succeed in this role, you must have a valid Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks, and other 2-axle vehicles) and experience with navigating maps and trip planning aids. You will also be required to maintain accurate records of vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and any problems encountered during trips.
Certifications and ExperienceA minimum of a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required for this position, with experience being an asset. Local transportation/travel experience is also necessary, as well as a clean criminal record check.
Work Conditions and Physical CapabilitiesThis role requires working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, which can be physically demanding at times. You will be expected to handle weights of up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work long hours, typically between 35 to 40 hours per week.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be considered for this role, you must possess excellent client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, judgement, and reliability. A strong team player with organized work habits and a high level of professionalism is essential for success in this position.
We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for career growth and development within The Red Leaf Corporation.
