Job Title: Marine Service Technician

We are seeking a skilled Marine Service Technician to join our team at Ocean Pacific Marine Store & Boatyard. As a Marine Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on marine engines, as well as troubleshooting and diagnosing faults.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on marine engines
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose faults on marine engines
  • Adjust, repair or replace electrical system parts
  • Adjust, repair or replace mechanical system parts
  • Diagnose and isolate faults on engines
  • Discuss work with supervisor
  • Document your inspection and tests made on engines
  • Estimate repair costs
  • Review work orders
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and service
  • Advise customers on work performed and condition of equipment
  • Test and adjust repaired equipment for proper performance
Requirements:
  • 5 years or more of experience in marine maintenance and repair
  • Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Manual dexterity
  • Attention to detail
  • Hand-eye co-ordination
  • Physically demanding
  • Combination of sitting, standing, walking
  • Work under pressure
