We are currently seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a permanent full-time Customer Service Representative. This exciting opportunity will involve providing exceptional service to our customers, ensuring their vacation needs are met with professionalism and efficiency.

About the Role

In this critical role, you will be the primary point of contact for travel agencies and consumers, embodying the quality standards of Vacances Air Canada / Air Canada Vacations. You will be responsible for meeting and surpassing call centre goals related to customer service, sales objectives, handle time, and other objectives.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Offer unparalleled customer service and exhibit care for our customers, travel agencies, and consumers alike.
  • Utilize selling and upselling techniques to close the sale of vacation package bookings: air, land, tourist activities, and car rentals.
  • Demonstrate professionalism at all times; on the phone, through email, as well as during team and supplier meetings.
  • Act in an efficient and accurate manner when booking reservations using the Vacances Air Canada / Air Canada Vacations in-house systems.
  • Promote the services of Vacances Air Canada / Air Canada Vacations to travel agencies and consumers contacting our offices.
  • E nsure customers are informed of all relevant reservation details and products.
  • Maintain a current and accurate knowledge of all our products, booking procedures, and policies, and apply this information through the booking process.
  • Observe all procedures in making reservations and related activities.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by immediate superior.
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess a college diploma in Tourism or relevant work experience. You should also have sales experience, with the ability to recognize sales opportunities, and demonstrate initiative, adaptability, attention to detail, and good judgment. Bilingualism (English and French) and strong communication skills are also essential.

You must be available to work flexible schedules, evenings, and weekends, and willing to participate in a 6-12 week training program from Monday to Friday. A working proficiency of reservation systems is an asset.
