About the Role: As an Internal Auditor at McInnis Cement, you will be responsible for conducting audits, assessing risks, and identifying opportunities for improvement. Your primary objective will be to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial data, while also providing recommendations for enhanced business processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assigned audit engagements from beginning to end, ensuring timely completion and effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Evaluate compliance with organizational policies and procedures, documenting audit findings and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Perform internal audit tests, assess the effectiveness of internal controls, and provide recommendations for enhancement.
  • Support daily activities of auditors assigned to assist with audit projects, providing guidance where needed.
  • Conduct interviews with representatives of audited areas to gather necessary information.
  • Discuss and validate observations and findings with senior management and process owners to ensure agreement on audit conclusions.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-4 years of audit experience required.
  • Ability to observe, understand, and document business processes accurately.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to handle competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of management.
  • Experience with SAP, data analytics, and tools such as ACL or TeamMate is desirable.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required.
  • Bilingual in English and French is required.
  • Relevant certifications (CPA, CIA, CISA, CFE) are an asset but not required.
