Job Title: Plumber

Join District Mechanical as a Plumber and be part of a dynamic team that delivers exceptional service to our clients. As a Plumber, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems in various locations, including commercial, industrial, and residential settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and repair plumbing fixtures and systems, including pipes, fittings, and appliances
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout of plumbing systems
  • Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors
  • Cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings
  • Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment
  • Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
  • Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required shape and size
Requirements:
  • Plumber Trade Certification
  • Plumber Red Seal Certificate
  • Gas Fitter Red Seal Certificate
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Valid driver's license
  • Own transportation
