Job Summary

Halton Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician - Automation Specialist, you will play a critical role in the operation of our automated unit dose drug distribution system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Restock and maintain Omnicell automated dispensing units to ensure seamless medication dispensing and inventory management.
  • Operate and troubleshoot select Pharmacy Automation systems to optimize workflow and efficiency.
  • Prepackage unit doses and prepare sterile pharmaceutical products with precision and attention to detail.
Requirements
  • Completion of a recognized college-level Pharmacy Assistant or Technician Program.
  • Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP).
  • Previous hospital experience with unit dose and/or automated drug distribution systems and intravenous admixture services.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position.
Working Conditions

Hours: Monday - Sunday, Days, Evenings & Nights, Various rotating shifts, 8 hour shifts.

Site: Primarily Milton, Georgetown as required.

Salary: $ - $ per hour.
