Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Private Banking Business Analyst to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our Private Banking Operations, Sales Support & Projects team, you will play a critical role in supporting the overall success of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the PB Senior Manager in conducting research and analysis, defining user requirements and processes, and liaising with applicable users and stakeholders.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of dashboard reporting for non-financial data, generating related insights.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of project, learning and resource centre documents, tracking updates and ensuring future sustainability and usability.
  • Provide business support by responding to ad hoc queries, providing guidance to user process, and assisting with the implementation of process enhancements.
  • Ensure manager is kept informed, and that problems and issues are escalated appropriately.
  • Provide post-implementation project/dashboard support, ensuring knowledge transfer is transitioned successfully to the day-to-day support team.
  • Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.
  • Champion a high-performance environment and contribute to an inclusive work environment.
Requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with end users and members of the department and team.
  • Strong command of MS Office Suite applications, specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent command of Power BI.
  • Experience in data science and generating data insights.
  • Ability to work well under time constraints and prioritize competing tasks appropriately.
  • Self-motivate with excellent active listening skills, strong organizational skills, attention to detail and results-oriented.
