About the Role:
At Southbridge Care Homes, we are committed to providing exceptional care to our residents. As a Registered Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in enhancing the effective management and quality of nursing practice in our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality resident care while adhering to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and conditions of residents, and initiate appropriate health measures.
- Organize and direct functions related to the provision of care to residents.
- Assist in the management of nursing and personal care staff.
- Provide training and professional development to new staff members, referring concerns to the Director of Care.
Requirements:
- Current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- A passion for caring for seniors and a commitment to delivering exceptional care.
- Registration/eligibility for registration with the Registered Practical Nurses Association of Ontario.
- Previous experience in long-term care is an asset, with comprehensive knowledge of duties.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks in order of urgency.
- Excellent communication and comprehension skills.
- Developed problem-solving skills to address complex care situations.
- French language skills are an asset, but not required.
