Job Title - In-Service Support – Design Engineer

Location – Mirabel (hybrid 3 – days a week)

As a key member of our engineering team, you will be supporting a commercial aircraft program in the capacity of Design Engineer specialist for In-service support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess structural damage to the aircraft and develop effective solutions.
  • Respond to aircraft grounded (AOG) situations and customer engineering requests.
  • Investigate the cause of in-service problems and resolve source of failures.
  • Prepare design reports in English for certification purposes.
  • Design generic repairs for metallic and composite structures.
  • Participate in the design and support of structural modifications.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of proven experience in Repairs for the aerospace industry (In-service, MAP/MRB).
  • Excellent knowledge of aircraft structure.
  • Comfortable in questioning aircraft structure repairs.
  • Knowledge of MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English. French is an asset.
  • Detailed knowledge of airline operation, engineering, and maintenance is an asset.
