Job Description- Design drawings from client-provided databases according to project specifications;
- Develop projects for high voltage distribution and transformer stations, including storm sewer systems, drainage, culverts, roadways, and landscaping;
- Prepare detailed drawings and drainage calculations under the direction of the Project Manager;
- Develop engineering drawings from preliminary concepts, specifications, and other data;
- Prepare turn radius simulations using software assistance for given projects;
- Ensure quality control before submitting drawings;
- Verify drawings to ensure they conform to client specifications and data;
In the Energy department, as a Civil Engineering Drafting Technologist:
- Create designs for topographic surveys, site plans, and other project requirements;
- Prepare detailed drawings and calculations for existing high voltage distribution and transformer stations;
- Develop engineering drawings from preliminary concepts and specifications;
- Complete documentation and produce drawing sets;
- College diploma (DEC) in civil engineering or equivalent with 4 to 8 years of relevant experience;
- Proficiency in Civil Cad3D 2018 or more recent, AutoTurn 8.2, and AutoCAD 2020 (an asset);
- Knowledge of surveying data (an asset);
- Attention to detail for producing highly accurate drawings;
- Sense of observation, curiosity, and ingenuity for participating in design projects;
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken;
The estimated salary for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, you can expect:
