Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at McClay's Transportation Ltd. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer and transporting goods and materials across various routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and Drive a tractor-trailer to transport goods and materials, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Load and Unload goods and materials, ensuring accurate and efficient loading and unloading procedures.
  • Perform Pre-Trip, En Route, and Post-Trip Inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Record Cargo Information, Hours of Service, Distance Traveled, and Fuel Consumption to maintain accurate records.
  • Communicate with Central Dispatch to receive and relay information regarding cargo, routes, and other important details.
  • Obtain Special Permits and Documents required for international routes, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Coach Colleagues on New Methods and Work Techniques to promote professionalism and efficiency within the team.
  • Perform Emergency Roadside Repairs to minimize downtime and ensure safe operation.
Requirements
  • AZ Class License and Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A) and a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to Work in a Team Environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and dispatch.
  • Physical Demands include lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
