Fashion Educator

As a fashion educator at LCI Education, you will be responsible for designing and delivering fashion-related courses that cover topics such as fashion history, design, manufacturing, and contemporary trends. Your role will involve guiding students in their understanding of the key concepts of the fashion industry and helping them develop their practical skills and critical thinking in this constantly evolving field. You may also supervise research projects and offer personalized guidance to help students achieve their academic and professional goals in the fashion industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan class sessions
  • Deliver sessions in a dynamic, efficient, and structured manner
  • Design formative and summative assessments using the competency-based approach
  • Administer and correct assessments
  • Monitor each student and encourage success
  • Be available to students to promote their development of the skill targeted by the course
  • All other related tasks

Requirements:

  • You must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Hold a university certificate or diploma or a college diploma, with an option or concentration in the discipline concerned
  • Teaching or have teaching experience in the discipline for one full semester within the last five years
  • Have practised a trade or profession related to the discipline or course in question for at least two years

This role involves interaction with internal and external clients and partners on a national and global scale. Professional proficiency in English is therefore a requirement for this role.
