Market Development Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Market Specialist to join our team at ActionLink. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling marketing and sales activities within a specific subpart of the organization, including managing business development, service, and support functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and Maintain Strong Advocacy: Develop and maintain strong relationships with partners, social media influencers, affiliate marketers, community forum members, and internal teams to enhance sell-through, market share, and customer experience.
- Engage with Partners and Influencers: Foster brand loyalty by engaging with partners, social media influencers, affiliate marketers, community forum members, and internal teams.
- Data Analysis and Decision Making: Utilize daily, weekly, and quarterly data analysis to inform decisions and drive business growth.
- Implement Effective Selling Strategies: Apply PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) methods for effective selling and assisted selling strategies.
- Support Store Activities: Support store activities such as group and individual training sessions, presentations, and customer success initiatives.
- Digital Activities: Conduct digital activities, including one-on-one consultants, live streaming, script writing, on-camera presenting, and editing, to enhance customer engagement.
- Strategic Planning: Innovate and adapt strategies to align with Sony's business growth in the digital landscape.
- Merchandising and Display: Maintain merchandising standards, ensure display functionality, and support reset activities.
- Online and Shopfront Optimization: Optimize online and shopfront selections, locations, and conditions to drive sales results.
- Marketing Campaigns: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement marketing campaigns that increase brand visibility and customer loyalty.
- Competitor Analysis: Monitor competitor activities and market trends to identify opportunities for improvement and competitive advantage.

Position Qualifications:
- Residency: Must reside in the Edmonton, Alberta, and surrounding area.
- Education: Minimum High School diploma or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 5-8 years work-related experience in sales, marketing, and client relations.
- Team First Approach: Team first approach.
- MS Office Skills: Strong MS Office skills, specifically with Excel.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills with partners, influencers, and internal stakeholders to enhance advocacy and brand loyalty.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks across various store locations.
- Merchandising Standards: Understanding of merchandising standards, display functionality, and best practices for visual merchandising.
- Data Analysis: Proficient in data analysis and the application of insights to inform strategic business decisions.
- Decision Making: Decision making will have major implications on the management and operation of the business.
Working Environment:
- Location: This position will be covering the Edmonton, AB Market.
- Office and Retail Environment: Office and retail store environments.
- Home Office: Home office space with high-speed internet connectivity is required.
Physical Requirements:
- Travel: Must be able to travel as needed locally by vehicle and/or nationally by plane.
- Rental Car: Must be able to rent a car.
- Computer and Smartphone: Must be able to use a computer, smartphone, and other standard office equipment.
- Physical Ability: Must be mobile and able to sit and/or stand for minimum four (4) hours.
- Lifting: Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
