Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this position is $65,000 CAD, with opportunities for professional growth and development.

Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Insulation Specialist to work on various projects, ensuring the safe and efficient installation of insulation materials. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of building codes and regulations, as well as experience working with different types of insulation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Select the appropriate type of insulation required for each project
  • Measure and cut insulating materials to the correct shape and dimensions using hand and power tools
  • Apply and secure insulation using various methods, including spraying, blowing, pasting, strapping, taping, and other application and installation techniques
  • Fit insulation around obstructions and between joists and studs, ensuring a seamless fit
  • Install vapour barriers and fire-retardant materials, adhering to industry standards
  • Fabricate and apply removable insulation pads and covers, as needed
  • Assemble, erect, and dismantle scaffolding, rigging, and hoisting equipment, ensuring a safe working environment
  • Remove asbestos, ceramic fibres, lead, and mould and urea-formaldehyde insulation materials from buildings, following strict safety protocols
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications, applying knowledge of building codes and regulations
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in insulation installation or a related field
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
