As a High-Risk Foot Care/Wound Care Nurse, you will be part of a dynamic team committed to excellence in patient care.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce vascular and structural complications and amputations
- Conduct assessments and provide treatment plans for clients with complex foot care issues
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide clinical advice and support
- Manage inventory of supplies and tools necessary for high-risk foot care/wound care services
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures
Requirements
- Diploma in Practical Nursing from a recognized post-secondary institution
- Member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Experience in conservative debridement, arterial brachial index assessment, current wound dressings, and off-loading devices and techniques
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
