Job Summary

Royal Bank of Canada is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Advisor Intern to join our team. As a Financial Advisor Intern, you will play a key role in attracting, nurturing, and growing relationships with our high-value personal and small business clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their financial needs and goals.
  • Provide proactive, professional advice and collaborate with RBC partners to help clients achieve their objectives.
  • Utilize expertise in everyday banking, investments, and credit to deliver a robust Advice Experience.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to uncover their needs, deliver client-centric advice, and proactively resolve concerns.
  • Champion digital enablement by educating clients to self-serve and leveraging technology to connect with clients virtually and face-to-face.
  • Implement effective contact and relationship building strategies to accelerate new client acquisition and retention.
  • Collaborate with market-leading professionals in financial planning, retirement planning, mortgages, and business banking to ensure clients receive customized and relevant expert advice.
Requirements
  • Valid Mutual Funds accreditation (Investment Funds in Canada or Canadian Securities Course)
  • Canada (excluding Quebec) - Completed Designated Financial Services Advisor (DFSA) designation, offered through the Canadian Securities Institute
  • 2-3 years of proven sales experience in the financial services industry, handling credit and investments
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust and maintain long-term client relationships
  • Digital literacy across a broad range of devices
