We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Administrator to join our team at AECOM. As a Contract Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of our municipal wastewater infrastructure construction project.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will have experience in contract administration, with a strong understanding of construction project sequencing and quality control processes. You will work closely with our project manager, design team, client, and construction contractor to expedite solutions to technical field problems, review construction submittals, and monitor conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Expedite solutions to technical field problems with the project manager, design team, client, and construction contractor
- Review construction submittals to ensure compliance with project requirements
- Monitor conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements
- Coordinate inspections, provide regular updates to the project team, and the client, review and prepare contractor payment applications, and respond to RFIs
- Issue RFQs, Change Orders, Change Directives, Site Instructions
- Participate in the negotiation of change orders specific to design changes
- Participate in the resolution of delay and other claims by the contractor
- Participate in and document all construction meetings onsite (progress meeting, commissioning meeting, etc.)
- Participate/coordinate in testing and commissioning activities
- Function as AECOM's Onsite Safety Officer
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field + 4 years of experience in a field role on municipal water or wastewater infrastructure projects
- Contract administration experience
- Registered P.Eng. in Ontario or eligible within 12 months
- Driving license and access to own vehicle
Prior experience in contract administration and/or site inspection would be an asset. Additionally, knowledge of construction project sequencing, ability to read and interpret engineering construction drawings and specifications, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and strong computer skills would be beneficial.
Compensation and BenefitsThe salary for this position is estimated to be around $120,000 per year, based on industry standards and location. In addition to the competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
