Job Summary:

  • We are seeking a seasoned Restaurant Assistant Manager to lead our team of staff in delivering an outstanding dining experience for our customers.

Responsibilities:

Leadership and Staff Management
  • Supervise and motivate the team to achieve sales targets and maintain high standards of customer service.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Monitor staff performance, providing constructive feedback and coaching to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Hire, train, and develop staff members to ensure they have the necessary skills and competencies to excel in their roles.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive work environment, fostering a culture of teamwork and respect.
Operations and Logistics
  • Plan and organize daily operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and supply chain logistics.
  • Ensure that all health and safety regulations are met, maintaining a clean and hygienic working environment.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best possible prices for food and other supplies.
  • Manage cash handling, balancing tills, and preparing cash reports.
Customer Service and Relations
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding promptly to complaints and concerns.
  • Build strong relationships with regular customers, understanding their needs and preferences.
  • Develop and implement loyalty programs and promotions to drive sales and increase customer engagement.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year to less than 2 years of experience as a Restaurant Assistant Manager or similar role.
  • College/CEGEP education or equivalent qualification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on improving operational efficiency.

Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per annum (dependent on experience).

Work Term: Permanent.

Work Language: English.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week.
