About the Job

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Driver to join our team at Bison Transport Inc. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation of Goods: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials across the country.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure it is in good working order.
  • Logistics and Planning: Plan and coordinate routes, schedules, and cargo to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to clients and ensure that their needs are met.
  • Safety and Security: Ensure that all safety and security protocols are followed to prevent accidents and ensure the security of goods and personnel.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: AZ class license, Air Brakes Endorsement, Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, Driver's License (Class 1 or A), FAST (Free and Secure Trade) Program, Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate, and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience as a truck driver, or equivalent experience.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and ability to adapt to changing situations.
