Job Title: Truck Delivery Driver

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Delivery Driver to join our team at Horizon Grocery + Wellness. As a Truck Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for delivering orders to customers in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service:
    • Provide excellent customer service by representing Horizon Grocery + Wellness in a courteous and professional manner.
    • Ensure that products are delivered in good condition and in a timely manner.
    • Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise during delivery.
  • Driving:
    • Operate a company vehicle safely and efficiently, following all traffic laws and regulations.
    • Drive defensively and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Loading and Unloading:
    • Load and unload products from the truck in a safe and efficient manner.
    • Ensure that products are properly secured and protected during transport.
  • Truck Maintenance:
    • Perform daily pre-use inspections of the vehicle and report any issues to the supervisor.
    • Keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained, inside and out.

Requirements:

  • Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Air Brakes certificate required.
  • Class 3 driver's license preferred.
  • Defensive driving or professional driving lessons and experience an asset.
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs and perform physically demanding work as needed.
