The OpportunityWe are seeking an accomplished, results-driven leader with exceptional energy, passion, and initiative to oversee and scale our Inside Sales organisation in AMER. As the Inside Sales Regional Director, you will focus on Recruitment, Enablement, and Execution through your leaders, driving growth through strategic leadership and collaboration while ensuring the continued success of the Inside Sales team.
You will be instrumental in building high-performing teams, optimising processes, and aligning sales execution with company goals to fuel MongoDB's success as the world's fastest-growing database. Qualified candidates will be based in Toronto, Austin, New York, Atlanta, or Chicago and work on a flexible, hybrid schedule.
About the RoleIn this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the success of our Inside Sales team. You will be responsible for leading and empowering teams, developing and executing a regional strategy, recruiting and developing talent, and driving sales pipeline management.
You will also be responsible for establishing scalable, data-driven processes for sales territory management, lead management, and pipeline forecasting. Additionally, you will ensure accurate and timely reporting of KPIs and performance metrics.
About YouTo succeed in this role, you will need:
- Proven Leadership: minimum 3+ years of experience leading high-performing sales teams in Inside Sales or Field Sales environments
- Technology background: Experience in complex tech solutions selling is required; experience with databases, open-source, or SaaS solutions organisations is preferable
- Proven experience as an Account Executive or other quota-carrying closing role, with a demonstrated track record of successfully navigating complex sales cycles and consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets
- Sales Methodologies: Experience with MEDDIC, SPIN, Challenger Sales, or other sales methodologies
- Sales Expertise: Demonstrated ability to drive pipeline growth, close deals, and navigate complex customer negotiations in an enterprise software sales environment
- Strategic Mindset: Skilled at strategic planning, territory management, and aligning resources to achieve sales goals
- Coaching and Development: Track record of coaching and developing sales talent to achieve and exceed performance metrics
- Communication Skills: Strong ability to articulate the business value of complex enterprise technology to both internal and external stakeholders
- Data-Driven Execution: Ability to utilise data and metrics to optimise sales processes, measure success, and guide decision-making
