At Parsons Corporation, we are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Construction Inspector and Coordinator to join our team.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing construction-related inspection and coordination activities on the Giant Mine site. This includes monitoring contractor performance to meet specifications and contract requirements.
This role involves ensuring that EHS standards are followed at the site by subcontractors in accordance with the EHS program. Safety audits and inspections will also be performed.
A key aspect of this position is overseeing and performing site inspections and enforcing standards. Additionally, the individual will oversee QA/QC of work being performed by contractors, ensuring quality control plans are followed and witnessing, verifying, and approving as per the Inspection Test Plans (ITP). Coordinating testing requirements with the contractor and third-party independent testing agents will also be a part of this role.
The Senior Construction Inspector and Coordinator will support the Project Manager and Construction Superintendent in delivering the construction scope, schedule, budget, and quality of work packages delivered by sub-contractors. Daily progress and performance reports will be monitored, verified, and generated by the individual.
Furthermore, the role involves reviewing contractor daily reports and verifying them. The candidate will also review daily and weekly plans, perform site inspections to monitor adherence to plans, and assist the Project Manager and Construction Superintendent with quality control assessments and quality reports.
About the Role:We are looking for an individual with a Bachelor's degree in engineering, geoscience, or a related field, or diploma with 3+ years of relevant work experience in heavy civil, northern mining, or remediation projects. Significant experience in lieu of a diploma or degree will be considered.
The ideal candidate must have the ability to understand specifications, quality plans, and perform QA functions. They should also be able to oversee activities of multiple contractors and possess strong conflict resolution skills and the ability to monitor and maintain contractor adherence to specifications and standards.
A proven ability to prepare reports and documentation is essential for this role. Additionally, the individual must be able to operate independently and as part of a team, working self-sufficiently in field environments.
Benefits and Perks:As a valued member of our team, you can expect a competitive salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, including health, vision, dental, and employer-paid provincial care premiums, you will also enjoy a defined contribution pension plan (DCPP), tax-free savings account (TFSA), registered retirement savings plan (RRSP), life insurance, paid time off, sick leave, and all province-observed holidays off. You will also receive gym membership discounts to fit your busy lifestyle.

We value our employees and want our employees to take care of their overall wellbeing. If you are passionate about delivering critical infrastructure and making a difference in communities worldwide, we encourage you to apply.
