Job Title: Event Planner

Canadian Tours International is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Planner to join our team. As an Event Planner, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing events, conferences, and meetings from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer event budgets and ensure financial procedures are in place
  • Develop and implement risk management plans to ensure event safety
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to arrange for hospitality services, signage, and technical equipment
  • Assist in budget preparation and final financial reporting
  • Manage event logistics, including set-ups, staging, seating, parking, and communication systems
  • Coordinate with speakers and implement registration systems
  • Plan and arrange for accommodation and transportation services
  • Plan for traffic and crowd control and security
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations using MS Office and Google Docs
Requirements:
  • College/CEGEP degree
  • 1-2 years of experience in event planning or a related field
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Google Docs, and MS Windows
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
