Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive designs for outside plant telecommunications projects using fibre optics techniques and methodology
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project deliverables meet client expectations
  • Maintain and update Fibre Design databases and system maps to reflect current infrastructure
  • Work closely with clients to understand design specifications and requirements
  • Manage the preparation and submission of permitting packages to regulatory bodies

Requirements:

  • Strong background in electrical, civil, architectural technology, or a related field
  • Significant experience in fibre optic network engineering and design
  • Familiarity with Autodesk AutoCAD and other design software
  • Excellent understanding of municipal and third-party permitting processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
